The Fourth/ Day 1

We started our Fourth of July celebrations at the Malcolm's for our Ward party. I had every intention of swimming but out of nowhere Fresno had a chilly evening. We ended up eating a lot of good food and talking to a lot of cool people.
Evelyn is beginning to lose interest in the camera so our self family photos don't turn out as good as they did a few months ago.

Evelyn had a great time cruising around, watching all the people, and eating whatever she could find. Including flowers.

I love my baby girl.

Daddy and Evelyn.

We ended up not even sticking around for the fireworks. Instead, we began our 13hour journey to Coalsville Utah for a week of rambunctiousness. Thus Day 1 was spent in the car. We wanted to have Evelyn sleep as much as possible while we drove so we left right at bedtime. It worked pretty well until David and I began to get tired and decided to stop in Reno to get a few hours rest at my Grandma's. Apparently, Evelyn didn't like the plan. As soon as we got settled to take a little nap she woke up and was full of energy. We tried to have her lay with us but she would flop around like a fish, find a spot (usually sprawled across Mommy and Daddy's faces) lay there for a second then begin the fish flopping again. We finally gave up and got back on the road at about 4am. Evelyn fell asleep as soon as we got back in the car, figures.
