Evelyn Turns One

Evelyn is growing up, she just turned 1. I can't believe a year has gone by so quickly and I can't believe how much she has changed in such a short amount of time. She has gone from a small helpless little baby who couldn't even roll over to an energetic, moble, desprate to be independent, oppinionated, smart toddler full of personality. she not only can roll over now but she can crawl, dance, pull herself up, and walk with some assistance. It has been so much fun watching her grow and learn. I am excited for what is to come.
Happy Birthday Baby Girl!! I Love You!

Here are some pictures of her party. It was Great Grandpa Garcia's Birthday too, so he had to wear a hat.
Here are some of Evelyns friends, Nate, Jared, Preston, Daddy, Aaron, and Charolett.

Blowing out the candles with a little help from Dad. Then Dad shoved her face into the cake, Evelyn was trying her best to avoid just that.

She did finally get into the cake but not before she showed everyone her "Scary Face."

We got Evelyn this Ball Popper thing. It plays music and shoots balls up. Of corse Evelyn was petrified of it and so after she opened that one she was hessitant about opening anything else. The other kids ended up playing with it and having a grand time. Evelyn got a lot of fun stuff, she got books, and clothes, a darling coat, and toys. The singing purse from Sammy and Jared ended up being her favorite.

She had so much fun dancing to the purse, infact she went a little crazy. She also warmed up to the ball popper the next day.

Water Play

I had some things to do before Evelyn's Birthday party, so I left her napping with her Dad. When I got home they weren't napping anymore.

I love this picture.

Evelyn and David had a bast spraying each other and playing in the puddles. We plan on playing with the hose more often this Hot summer.

To The ZOO!

My Dad and I decided to take the kids (Noah, Destin, and Evelyn) to the zoo. This was Evelyn's first trip to the zoo and David was really sad he couldn't come but he was off climbing Mt. Whitney with the Scouts.

It was a little Hot so Evelyn wasn't sure how she felt, until she saw the animals and then she LOVED it!!

Evelyn was so excited at each exhibit, she would squeal and try to reach out and grab all the animals.

The monkeys to the left were some of Evelyn's favorites and to the right is a mommy ant eater with her baby on her tail.

The seals

More monkeys
Flamingos and a very short Evelyn next to a baby giraffe.

Noah and Destin are a little bit taller.

The petting zoo was a lot of fun, Evelyn was a little scarred to touch the animals but she warmed up to them in the end.
These Were the COOLEST lamas!!! They not only had the best hair dues but the move synchronized with each other. It was AWESOME!!

Noah touched a lama! That goat with Destin was his buddy, he followed him all over. And there is Evelyn petting a sheep with Grandpa.

This was Destin's favorite part.

Acting like monkeys.

Sting Ray Bay was pretty cool. All the kids got soaked. They had a great time petting the rays and trying to touch the sharks. Even Evelyn got into it.

In the rain forest being silly and then we stopped for a snack break.

Look at those Gorillas.

We ended the day with the reptile house and then a trip to subway. We had a lot of fun and I am sure Evelyn will want to go back often.
